What Causes Pain At Lateral Malleolus Fracture Site?

Hi, just over a year ago now I was playing tennis, tripped and ended up with an avulsion fracture of my left lateral malleolus and sprained a muscle. From time to time I have these throbbing pains coming from the area where the fracture was, not unbearable, but an inconvenience. I am just worried that it will get worse or cause other problems in the future, do you have any idea what could be wrong? Thanks

Hi,Welcome to healthcare magic. After going through your query in my opinion your old fracture is having occasional pain . Old fractures many times cause occasional pain.Take diclofenac whenever pain is there.Sometimes vitamin D deficiency can cause this so serum vitamin D test is advised if it is low than vitamin D supplementation will be required. Calcium supplementation may be of use.You can get x ray of part to further investigate it. I think your query answered.Welcome to any follow up query.
