What Causes Pain Around The Nipple After Breast Pumping?

Hi, I am currently breast pumping for my newborn since I wasn t able to get her to latch. I have been feeling pin prick sensations on my right breast around the nipple and would like to know what it might be. Could I be using the wrong nipple shield size and if so how can I find out what correct size I should use?

hello
please don't worry. the sensations you are feeling are just due to he vaccum pressure of the pump. I will suggest you to not pump extra and give a break of few seconds before pumping again. this shall be helpful for you.
rest it's normal to feel pricking sensation. this will go away in some time
I find this answer helpful
