What Causes Pain And Swelling In The Thumb?

My thumb is clicking or popping when I bend it, which only started about two weeks ago, and is slightly swollen and is painful if I try to use it to lift even a dish. I have an adverse reaction to aspirin, so I need to know if Tylenol will be helpful to relieve the swelling and pain, and will the locking disappear soon? YYYY@YYYY

Good Evening,
Thanks for given information,According to you pain and swelling complains seems to be thumb arthritis,
here I suggest you some process you can perform at home,
Initial treatment options involve:
exercises
application of ice
medications
Tylenol
Naproxen
glucosamine and chondroitin, which are available as pills and powders.
Additionally, capsaicin skin creams applied to the thumb may help relieve pain,
