What Causes Pain And Swelling In The Lower Back Caused After A Foot Injury?

I took a fall recently and landed on both feet and locked my knees. In doing so I felt sharp pain in my lower back but area at my spine. After the fall I was unable to bend forward to sit down on the ground without my legs feeling as if they would give out from under me. The next day I noticed that there was swelling at the base of my spine. Should I be concerned or just ice and rest until the pain has subsided enough to function.

Hello,
Are you still not able to bend completely like before and have severe pain? If yes, suggest you to get an x-ray done as you have swelling also and any minor fracture can be ruled out on x-ray
Otherwise ice application and rest would be enough
Hope this helps
