What Causes Pain And Stiffness In Hips And Thighs?
After sitting for no longer than 30 min, I have pain or stiffness in my hips or thighs. Today I even felt my thighs getting stiff while walking; it only lasted for about 10 seconds and it worked out. I also talk as though I have a fat lip, although I have no swelling, and my words are funny. This comes and goes throughout the day and has been going on for about 2 years consistently. Could now the stiffness in my legs be related to my lips? Could my lips muscles just be stiffening up a little and these are related?

Understanding your concern. As per your query you have pain and stiffness in hips and thighs. Well there can be many reasons for symptoms you mention in query like ankylosing spondylitis , irritable hip , sciatica , spinal stenosis , arthritis ,osteoarthritis of the hip , osteomyelitis , sciatica or transient synovitis. I would suggest you to consult orthopedic surgeon for proper diagnosis . Doctor may order nerve conduction test along with physical examination and CT scan or joint . Doctor may prescribe anti inflammatory , muscle relaxant along with recommend physical therapy . Doctor may also refer you to urologist for UTI . For now apply warm compresses to hip and thigh , take proper rest and take ibuprofen or acetaminophen for pain .
