Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I may have a strained muscle in my lower back. I think it might be something else because it hasn t gotten better at all in almost a whole month. ~I can bend backward without pain ~I have a limited amount of forward movement (I can only go to 90 degrees with my legs straight but I do so without pain) ~When or how I experience pain is completely unpredictable; I don t know what causes pain, I ll reach down to grab something off the table and my back spasms. No one movement spasms the same way each time. ~I have worked very little in the past 4 weeks ~It spasms more often when I get up from a sitting position, but sometimes it wont.

What Causes Pain And Spasms In The Lower Back?
Hello, As a first line management, you can take analgesics like Paracetamol or Aceclofenac for pain relief. If symptoms persist you can consult an orthopedician and plan for an MRI scan. Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further. Regards, Dr. Shinas Hussain, General & Family Physician
