What Causes Pain And Redness In Buttocks?

Hello I ve been having an aching pain in my right butt check. I haven t done anything to hurt myself, haven t even worked out in a while. I looked in the mirror to see if I had a bruise and there is just a really strange purpleish/red mark up my right butt cheek. From the bottom all the way up to my lower back and its a straight line. Someone said it could be a blood infection?
