What Causes Pain And Pulsation In The Lower Abdomen After A Spontaneous Abortion?

I had spontaneous abortion recently,,, now bleeding has stopped,, and my uterine cavity is empty said by doctors after they done my USG. But still I feel too much pain in my lower abdomen and back and some times I feel pulsation in my lower abdomen?? Is it normal or some problem is there?

Hi,

Based on the history you have shared, it can take a few weeks to relax the uterine smooth muscle and contract back to their normal position.

During this process, the feelings you have mentioned may be experienced temporarily.

If no retained products of contraception are left, then there is no risk involved or anything which needs immediate surgical attention. You can use anti spasmodic like drotavarine for symptomatic relief.
