What Causes Pain And Pressure In The Upper Abdomen?

Good morrow. I am having some issues. Yesterday my stomach started hurting. When I flex there is no pain, but when laying down there is achiness when I apply pressure to my upper abdomen. This has completely obliterated any thought of sleeping. my diet of the past 24 hours is 1/3 bottle of Gatorade and a small yogurt. I also have been drinking a lot more water as of late (seems to be a good thing to do).

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

Your symptoms seem to be related to gastritis. I suggest you to use PPI medication such as Omeprazole daily in the morning before breakfast. I also suggest you to avoid fried and spicy food, caffeine, alcohol which can trigger the symptoms.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Dorina Gurabardhi, General & Family Physician
