What Causes Pain And Pressure In The Chest And Nipples?
Hello. Wasn t going to speak with a doctor because of the nature of my issue, but I m getting nowhere by trying to use the symptom checker, which is telling me to seek medical attention IMMEDIATELY and I think it thinks I m having chest pain. I specifically put in that it s nipple pain. Strictly pain brought on by pressure... Like sleeping on it or bumping it. No discharge, just pain. Began just a few days ago out of the blue. Not constant but sharp like stinging pain. The only thing on this site is Paget s disease. Hopefully, it s something much less troubling....
First of all it's sad to know what you had been going through lately. Based on the history you have shared, you need to have a detailed breast examination by a surgeon.
Ultrasound of the nipple and mammogram of affected side may also be needed. It's less likely to cardiac or such pain is usually due to local pathology.
Sometimes local infection may also present like this is reversible with antibiotics. But any possibility of lump starting to grow should be ruled out.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
Regards,
Dr Saddiq Ulabidin, General & Family Physician
