What Causes Pain And Numbness In The Buttocks And Legs?

My legs are sore all over for no reason. When I sit down there s a numb sensation in my butt which travells right though to my legs. This is very painful. I don t feel that it s relative to fitness because last year I walked home from school every day apart from mondays and I would still get this leg pain. It s now summer and I am doing little to no excersise apart from the odd walk in the evening or walking home and I still get these pains so I really don t think it s relative to fitness.I get cramps in my legs at night also. This pain is severe and is becoming an issue as it s affecting my sleep and a lot of the time the pain is so bad I can t walk. I ve tried leg workouts, squats and nothing has worked.. I really don t know what to do..

Symptoms of numbness and pain radiating down into the legs could be arising from a compressed nerve in your low back. The best way to have this diagnosed would be a physical exam and possible follow-up imaging - x-ray and/or MRI.
