Let me tell you that there ca be several reasons for painful intercourse. There may not be enough lubrication.
There may be vaginismus which is involuntary spasms of the muscles of the vaginal wall and this can be very painful.
An infection to vagina or urinary tract can cause painful intercourse. I suggest ask your girlfriend to consult a gynecologist for a thorough check up to establish the cause of this painful intercourse.
