What Causes Pain And Inflammation On The Upper Back?

Hello, I have been experiencing upper back pain, followed by inflammation and swelling in the upper right quadrant of my back, and then waves of numbness all over my upper back, up to neck and through my finger tips. This is a recurring issue I have been experiencing over the past several months, with an increase in frequency. Please advise.

Hello,

As per your complain you have problem of inflammation at back region and numbness also present that may be because of disc bulging or soft tissue problem or other reasons. X-ray is helpful for diagnosis. CT scan and MRI can be done for further diagnosis. Nerve compression may lead to numbness of affected area.

Physical examination and investigation give exact idea about problems. Consult your doctor for further diagnosis.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Rachana Goswami
