What Causes Pain And Discoloration In The Left Arm?

My daughter has a blood clot in her left upper arm & has been seen for this. She also has a torn muscle in the same arm. She said that she had a strange feeling of running water through her abdomen . She has been nauseated also. Her arm turns purple every time she hangs it down. Pain goes through her arm & into her chest. She see s her primary on Tuesday & a Hematologist on Thursday. One ultrasound says she has a blood clot & another ultrasound says she does not. How is this possible?

Hello,
You should go for a colour Doppler of left limb. Also, go for complete coagulation panel, like PT INR , BT, CT, D-dimer. Then only, the anti-coagulant to be started accordingly.
