What Causes Pain And Difficulty In Emptying The Urinary Bladder?

Hi I have problems going pee its to the point that in the morning I have to go varry badly and I m in a more of pain around my lower wast it takes me a varry long time to get started and after I start it takes a long time I have no pressure it comes out varry slow I m HIV and am on meds the one my doctor says I m on morfine also and this is why I can t go. I don t no if this is why or not but I don t think so and I need to look for some other reason besides just blaming it on my m s longs 100.s I m only on three of them through the day this problems crossing me taking to long in the bathroom I. Have people staying in my home with me if bin posatif sins 1994 and my problem with peeing only bin since 2000 . I m just looking for a different reason

Dear thanks for the question.

I share your concerns. Although you didn't mention your age but I suspect prostate enlargement with such symptoms which is a common problem beyond 50 years of age (can happen earlier too). Prostate enlargement could be related to infections or an age related phenomenon.

You need to under go an ultrasound scan of pelvis to look for prostate size. If it enlarged you need to under go surgery (TURP). Chronic infection is also a possibility as you are HIV positive. In that case you need to take a course of antibiotics and surgery if doesn't give you relief.

I advise you to visit a urologist for examination, definitive diagnosis and treatment.
