What Causes Pain And Bulge When Standing After Colon Resection?

I have had 2 abdominal surgeries within the last 6 years, the last being December of 2013 when I had my sigmoid colon rescected. within the last 3 to 4 months I have developed a buldge when I stand and pain on standing, when I am lying flat, my abdomen is soft, but on standing it feels like I have a rock in my abdomen around my umbilicus. I am also having a change in my stools and have ribbon like stools if any at all.

thank you for your query...
as per your history, it seems like a case of incisional hernia in the first place...however further history taking is required and examinations are to be done to come to a provisional diagnosis...
and as for the bowel, post surgical adhesions can lead to obstruction and may lead to the constipation that you are currently experiencing...

more case history and examination is required to comment further...hope this is useful....
