What Causes Pain After Urinating?

Hi doctor,

I am 22 yr female, I had my periods last week (aug 2nd completion date). From this morning when I pass urine and wipe myself I see blood. I have the urge to pee often and I do pee as well. Each time I peeded today I noticed little blood when I wiped. I hav pain only when I am about to finish urinating. Please advice.

I understand your concern
Blood and pain at the end of urination suggest pathology in the bladder in your case. It could be a cystitis.
I would suggest to consult the urologist and undergo urine routine and microscopic test, USG scan to rule out the above causes.
Doctor will give following advises:
Tablet septran DS or nitrozoilum
Tablet pyridium
Syrup cital
Drink plenty of water and juice of cranberry, orange and pine apple.
Maintain proper pelvic hygiene
Avoid stress and start relaxation exercises
Diet modification: take diet diary and avoid diet that aggravate symptoms.
Avoid coffee, tea, alcohol, chocolate, soda, artificial sweetners.
Do not delay in empty the bladder and Empty the bladder completely.
