What Causes Pain Above The Knee On The Left Leg?
I felt a pain in my left leg, right above the knee, so i looked at the spot and there is s knot that is warm to the touch. It seems to have appeared quickly. Im now having pain in my leg and knee. I had a hysterectomy a few weeks ago, so this is making me nervous.

You may be suffering from prepatellar or suprapatellar bursitis or arthritis or effusion.
Until examination is done it is difficult to say what it is.
Use cold and warm compression, elevate the limb. Use NSAIDs if necessary.
Symptoms not improved please consult your doctor he will examine and treat you accordingly.
