Hi,I am Dr. Gopal Goel (Orthopaedic Surgeon). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
What Causes Pain Above Left Breast Radiating Into Armpit And Back Pain?
I have pain above my left breast, radiating into my armpit, sometimes my neck and down my arm. I also have pain in the back directly behind the pain in my chest.. Years ago, a doctor told me it was a muscle spasm. It has returned and comes on especially late in the evening.
Sorry to hear that this pain type of pain is leading to trouble. Coming to the point, this kind pain should not be ignored as it is assumable related to heart at time. As you didn't mention your age I cannot say exactly if it is related to heart.
But I would advice you to consult a cardiologist and also if possible you can take an Echocardiogram. An ECG is also recommended. You haven't mentioned your Blood pressure as well. So need to look out for that as well.
In case all this test are negative then it will be related to the accessories you wear may be tight and restricting the muscles and leading to pain. But as I mentioned, on a safety note please meet a cardiologist and take this pain seriously.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
