What Causes Ovarian Cysts Despite Taking Regestrone And Ovalife?

I have been diagnosed with PCOS. i m a 25 year old female. I had been getting normal n healthy cycles until feb this year. I missed my period in feb n went to a gynae for checkup n she gave me Regestrone after which i had my periods. My TSH test, n other tests were all normal. In march i again dint get my periods so i went to another gynae n he gave me metaspar. After that i got my periods bt not a lot. On 3rd day of my periods i got an ultrasound done n found out i have multiple cysts in both ovaries. The doc has prescribed me ovalife for 3 mnths. M getting married next year. Will i have a healthy life? Will i b able to conceive normally?

PCOS is a possible cause of infertility but if you do experience problems when you try to conceive there are treatment options available.

Treatment of PCOS in persons who are trying to conceive consists of : (A) weight loss of any excess weight- this has been shown help improve chance for conception

(B)metformin - this reduces the insulin resistance associated with PCOS

(C)medication to improve ovulation such as clomiphene

(D)if the clomiphene is not effective then other hormonal medications can be used to help with the ovulation
