Hi,
You need to understand that a pap smear is done to detect cervical cancer and has no direct relation to ovarian cycst. If you have cysts they are easily treatable .However,an abnormal pap means there are some cellular changes in the cervical tissue which are not normal. There can be many reasons for that like HPV,infection, multiple sexual partners, unprotected sex etc.You will need a colposcopy to determine the changes in depth.A regular follow up with your gynaecologist is necessary.
