What Causes Oozing Of Foul Odoured Pus Post Removal Of Skin Cancer?

I had skin cancer removed from my upper arm over 2 weeks ago. Treatment was to keep band aid and vaseline on wound and clean 2x/day. It was getting better and I called dr. office to see if I could stop using bandaids. Yesterday when I took bandage off there was pus and a foul oder. there is also some redness around the wound. Its is sore now and wondering if it is infected. If so how do I treat it?

Hi,
It seems that there might be having some infection producing foul smelling pus and redness.
Avoid band aid application as it might aeration on the wound.
It is advisable to do dressing by your treating doctor so proper cleaning of debris can be made.
Ok and take care.
