Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
i have an odd pain in my right abs aprox a inch or so from my bellybutton. i had a cscan and it showed alot of stool in my colon, but i had a colonoscopy the day before? the pain seems to be when i twist or sit in an uncomfortable position like on a plane or at the theater. i work out alot and its all good when lifting, but i cant do abs exercises.
Pain in the right side of the navel is indicative of appendicitis, umbilical hernia, hernia, stomach flu, stool in colon, etc. Since you have been diagnosed with stool in colon causing you a lot of pain you are suggested to take a lot of water and fiber rich diet. Take stool softeners and laxatives at bed tome for better bowel movement.
Get clinically examined and get blood analysis and imaging tests done to detect any other pathology causing the symptoms so that it can be treated at the earliest. Maintain correct posture while sitting, standing or sleeping. Hernia / appendicitis will be treated with surgery followed by conservative treatment.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards, Dr. Nupur K., General & Family Physician
