What Causes Numbness On The Tongue And Mouth?

Thank you for your help. My son-in-law has developed numbness of his tongue and mouth. It started after drinking water from a metal cup and straw in NYC. No drugs involved. He has recently been drinking matte after a trip to Argentina. no funny fish intake

Numbness inside the mouth and on tongue can be due to either Allergic reaction or metal toxicity..

It can also be due to nerve related disorders or condition like Transient Ischemic Attack..

Consult an Oral Physician or a General Physician and get evaluated..

Treatment will depend on the diagnosis..

As of now he should avoid drinking with the metal cup and also do alternate warm and cool water rinses..
Take Vitamin B complex supplements daily..
