My main diagnoses are Ehlers Danlos Syndrome (EDS type 3), Postural Orthostatic Tachacardia Syndrome (POTS),and small fiber peripheral neuropathy. I woke up last week with substantial numbness on the tip of my tongue, and am now going into day four of the numbness with no change. No new meds, no surgery/dentistry, no allergy, already on B12 supplements, etc. What is the likely cause and how urgent is it to be evaluated in person? I am still waiting to be contacted for an MRI, but the benign causes seem to be ruled out, making each day of waiting scarier...
