What Causes Numbness On The Fingertips?

Hi, I plugged a tv into an outlet in my garage two Wednesdays ago and got shocked, it wasn t a big shock, no sparks, no Burns. It s been a week and a half and I m feeling numbness in my fingertips for the past three days. After using a writing utensil for an hour or so, I noticed the numbness . Anything I can do at home for this? See a Dr?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Numbness may occur due to nerve ending damage caused by electric shock. Partial nerve damage may recover spontaneously completely but complete nerve damage may not recover. Electricity usually causes partial nerve damage.
Advice
1.     Methylcobalamin 500 mcg once daily per oral for 1 month
Thanks
