What Causes Numbness In Tip Of Left Thumb?

The tip of my left thumb has been numb for about two weeks now. No pain, what's wrong?
I work in retail so no real repetitive movements to indicate carpel tunnel but I did make meringues for my dad several times this week with an electric beater for his birthday. Maybe that struck a nerve?

HI
Thank for asking to HCM
I really appreciate your concern looking to the history given here this may not be Carpel tunnel syndrome but this is more seems a verve compression of cervical region and this is temporary phenomenon and would released soon no need to worry about this only matter is to maintain the good posture of head and its movement, take care and have nice day.
