What Causes Numbness In The Toes?

Over the past several months, I have numbness in two of the toes on my left foot. They feel numb, or they feel bloated. Nothing appears wrong with them, but the sensation is mildly irritating, like part of my foot has fallen asleep. No matter how much I flex them or stretch them, it doesn t go away.
