I have gone through your query and can understand your concern.
As per your complain and presentation of symptoms
numbness on the side of forehead that you have got hit and in case if the tests that were conducted are all clear and does not show any pathology then you need not to worry as the numbness can be felt due to
injury to the terminal
nerve endings or can also be due to inflammation of the terminal nerves due to injury..
Nothing to worry as the numbness is concised only to side of head region and not generalized to face..
You can take the medications that must have given to you by the doctor and do
cold compresses over the swelling..
Once the swelling starts to subside gradually the numbness will also resolve.
But in case even if after the resolution of swelling also the numbness does not subside or atleast the sensations improve to some level then you need to consult a Neurophysician and get evaluated.
If the numbness shows signs of improvement then you can relax as it can take some more time after the swelling subsides for the nerve endings to heal and work normally..
