What Causes Numbness In The Left Leg While Suffering From Lumbar Stenosis?

I have a chronic back with bulging discs, some stenosis in lower back. I also broke my tail bone and had to have part of it removed because it healed wrong. I constantly suffer from back pain which radiates to mostly to my left leg and causes my toes to numb up. I see a pain management doctor for this but injections and pain meds have done next to nothing to relieve my pain. Recently, both my knees starting hurting on the inner portion. This not only hurts to stand but to walk as well. Do not know what to do at this point. Can you please tell me what this could possibly be?
