What Causes Numbness In The Hands After A Spinal Surgery?

hi i had surgery may 31 at uc Irvine. the dr put 5 spacers starting at c2. my question is the numbness in both hands are still getting worse. i have full left hand and all fingers in right except thumb. my balence is off and have a hard time starting walking after a few steps im ok. is this normal after surgery?

If the numbness or other symptoms of nerve dysfunction (abnormal function) are getting worse, then it would be best to be seen by your doctor.

Repeat imaging and neurological testing would be needed.
