What Causes Numbness In The Breast And In The Rib Area?

A fortnight ago I noticed my left breast and the rib area below it are numb. It isn't painful, in fact it's the oppositte-I can feel sensation such as touch but no pain. For example I can't feel a pinch or a pin-prick. The skin in this area is slightly discoloured-darker than the rest. It also feels different, thicker and almost waxy. It is very slowly spreading. Any help would be much appreciated, I'm a 20 year old female if that helps.

Hi,
the description you have provided such as loss of pain sensation witha discoloured patch indicated possibilty of leprosy, less likely fungal infection

I dont think you should be worried if cancer is in your mind, as this post is under cancer heading

However I strongly suggest to meet a dermatologist for examination and few more testing.
It is nearly 100% curable in most cases but should present be treated early.
