What Causes Numbness In The Arms While On Mirtazapine?

Three years ago I experienced severe trauma that resulted in my having smell issues, tingling all over, burning eyes, etc. At first they thought I had had a stroke because of the smell hallucinations, but they found nothing. All was later pinned on stress. Here I am three years later and still am constantly stressed out. I take one Buspirone HCL 5mg per day and 30mg Mirtazapine a day. The Mirtazapine dosage was just doubled a couple of weeks ago because I have serious issues which cause me to not sleep at night. Last week I was standing in the kitchen and my upper body went into a freeze frame moment where my arms mainly just went numb. Today it happened again.

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hi,

It is unlikely be due to Mirtazapine. Most probably it is due to conditions like peripheral neurolopathy. Consult a neurologist and get evaluated.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Shinas Hussain,
