What Causes Numbness In Mouth And Jaw Pain?

Hi, this morning I woke up with numbness in my entire mouth. I can t eat or drink normally and when I close my mouth completely one side sticks out more. It s like I got my mouth numbed at the dentist, however, I didn t so I m concerned. Also, both sides of my jaw feel bruised and are painful. I don t know if I should go to a Doctor or see if it just goes away? It feels like nerve damage but I have no idea what I even did to cause it.

Thanks for your query, I have gone through your query.
The numbness can be because of the nerve injury or damage secondary to pressure over the nerve by an impacted wisdom tooth or secondary to any cyst or tumor applying pressure over the nerve. So consult a oral physician and get it evaluated. You need to take a radiograph like OPG, once the diagnosis is confirmed, we can treat accordingly. Mean while you can take nerve regenerating drugs like Vitamin B6 and B12.
I hope my answer will help you, take care.
