Hi..
Welcome to HEALTHCARE MAGIC..
So sorry to hear about your problem and will try my level best to resolve it..
As per your complain
numbness of teeth and gums after tooth extraction is due to the effect of the anaesthesia injection given for numbing the area of extraction so that it is painless..
At times the effect of anaesthesia lasts longer and numbness. Lasting longer..
As now the effect of anaesthesia must be depleted therefore he is feeling pain but pain should be at the extraction site..
As the pain is in front teeth or is not normal and can be due to
nerve related injuries that can occur during injection or extraction..
I would suggest you to consult an Oral Physician and get evaluated and he can do a clinical evaluation and advise investigations like
X Ray and
MRI scan for diagnosis and treatment can be done accordingly..
As of now he can continue taking painkillers to relieve pain an apply numbing gel over the gums for relief..
Any further questions are welcome..
Regards..
