What Causes Numbness In Ankles And Feet Of A Person With Lumbar Stenosis?
I ve been diagnosed with lumbar stenosis. My lower limbs, especially in the ankles and feet, are constantly numb. Blood circulation may be poor because I m cold most of the time. I m also having difficulty with walking and balancing. Is there a proactive course of action for me to take? Yoga is my main activity now.

Understanding your concern. As per your query you have numbness in ankles and feet of a person with lumbar stenosis . Well there can be many reasons for symptoms you mention in query like peripheral neuropathy , hypertension , vitamin B12 deficiency , kidney disease or venous insufficiency . There can be other problems also like compressed nerve or injury, but in your case the symptoms are probably due to lumbar stenosis Keep your legs in hot water tub with Epsom salt for 15 minutes daily , lower your salt consumption and keep your legs elevated while lying down .I would suggest you to consult orthopedic surgeon for proper examination . Doctor may order CT scan or x-ray along with blood test and nerve conduction test . Doctor may recommend surgery like laminectomy
, laminoplasty in severe case .
