hi three times today I have had numbness from mid chest all the way down to my toes an my left side and down my left arm just to the elbow. the numbness was extreme and I couldn t put any pressure on my left leg. my back did not feel numb that I was aware of and the numbness passes within 3 to 5 minutes or so and occurred at approx. 3:30pm and again at 5pm and just again at 8pm. now at 5 pm I only experienced numbness in the front of my chest and arm. all of the occurrences were on my left side and passed quickly. I did not have any pain just extremely uncomfortable for the few minutes I felt it. I have been in good health my entire life with no past health issues. I am a 40 year old white man in good health 135 lbs 5 7 tall but I do smoke 1 pack a day for at least 25 years and I know I should quit. I was just wondering what you might think I experienced due to the fact it is something that I have never experienced and it did really concern me to the point of thinking of heading to the ER when it was happening but after the numbness passed I feel fine.
