What Causes Numbness And Tingling Sensation On The Foot?

Hello, I am a 33 year old white female smoker... I have crushed my heels and ankles a few years ago and have hardware in my left heel.. The other day I was walking and my RIGHT foot would not pick up and went numb/tingles along with the back of my leg. I also can t move my toes upwards, and have pain in the back of my right buttock area. I am thinking this could be something as simple as sciatica but it keeps coming out of place and also realize it could be foot drop which could possibly be related to a stroke.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

Your symptoms seem to be related to sciatica pain. I suggest using painkillers such as Ibuprofen 400 mg three times a day. I also suggest to do gentle stretching exercises for relieve. If the symptoms continue, I suggest to see a neurologist.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Dorina Gurabardhi, General & Family Physician
