What Causes Numbness And Tingling Sensation On The Face?

I am experiencing random waves of numbness and tingling across the center of my face, similar to when I had Bells Palsy when I was pregnant 8 years ago. It occurs intermittently, but at least daily and lasts for about 20 seconds at a time. Tonight, I also experienced a dizzy spell that was quite disconcerting. I do not normally experience these types of occurances. I am an extremely healthy individual and not prone to illness. I find these symptoms concerning.

Hi..
Welcome to HEALTHCARE MAGIC..

As per your complain numbness and tingling sensation in any one side of mouth can occur commonly due to nerve related problems like compression over the nerve caused by any artery or tumour..
It can be related to Vitamin B12 deficiencies, electrolyte imbalance, transient ischemic attack etc..
Another common cause can be due to disturbances in the functioning if Trigeminal Nerve and it's branches..

Consult a Neurophysician and get her evaluated and a thorough clinical evaluation and investigations like MRI scan can be done to rule out the cause and treatment can be done accordingly..

As of now you can take Vitamin B 12 supplements and do alternate warm and cool compresses over the face..

Hope this helps..

Regards .
