What Causes Numbness And Tingling Sensation On The Face?
I have had a very bad cold for the past week with incredibly painful sinuses. My ears tend to get blocked after a cold but get better after a week or so.This has resolved however this morning I have woken up with a blocked right ear and my face in this side is numb and tingling. Should I be concerned or will it pass as my ear gets better?
Understanding your concern. As per your query numbness and tingling sensation on the face is because of nerve impingement or pressure on facial nerve which can lead to facial paralysis. The symptoms can also occur due to condition like bell's palsy .Visit dentist once and get it examined to rule out nerve compression , neuralgia or other conditions like neuropathy. Go for physical therapy of facial muscles. Avoid opening mouth extreme wide while jawing. Doctor may also refer you to neurologist . Doctor may prescribe MRI of brain as it could be related to stroke. Sometimes allergic reaction or side effects of certain drugs can also cause such symptoms.
