What Causes Numbness And Tingling Sensation In The Hands And Fingers?

I had two parathyroid removed the first week of August. Since then I have an enlarged vein on my wrist from the IV. My hands and fingers are numb and tingling. Now my mouth feels funny. I was told to put an ice pack on my wrist. My calcium is good. I don t know what else to do . I have never had a hand problem before. Never. When you ask questions , sometimes the staff doesn t listen to understand, they listen to defend. I just retired last year and just want to be healthy with working hands

Thanks for asking..
Yoy seem tohave swelling of the vein aling with ozzing out of iv fluid.. causing inflammationof subcutaneous tissue along with enlarged vein pressing on nerve suplying the Hand..causing your symptoms.
I would suggest consulting a vascular surgeon...for treating the tissue infection/swelling of vein ..for specific treatment of the root cause.
