hi, I am 50, female. Last August, my right hand fingers became numb and tingling in the morning. In two-three weeks, it became that both hands had same symptoms. I went to a neurologist and had a nerve conduction test, I was told that I have carpal tunnel symptom on both hands. Even I insists that I have neck and shoulders problems since I am in IT field for over 20 years, but the dr. said it was different problems and didn t do further nerve conduction tests. So I had a surgery on my right hand. Three weeks after the surgery, the numbness went away on my right hand. But about meantime, I had extreme shoulders pain and stiffness of my forearms and both hands fingers. Till now I still have frozen shoulders and stiffness of my wrists and fingers. Especially in the morning. The symptoms are better in the evenings. I have blood test of RA, it is negative. And MRI on my neck and Xray on both arms didn t find anything major. Now the numbness on my left hand has almost gone away. So carpal tunnel is certainly a misdiagnosis. Nobody can tell me what I got and what caused this? Do you have any ideas? Do you have advices what should I do next? Thanks, XXXX
