What Causes Numbness And Swelling In Mouth?

I took the generic Bactrim and spironolact earlier today and ate lunch. Now my mouth feels numb and tingly and a little swollen and my throat feels soar? My name is Tosha and my dermatologist gave these to me. One for acne the other for facial hair reducing.

Hello,

As per your case history, you have angioedema. My treatment advice is -
1. Avoid fast food and food with artificial colors for two months.
2. Take an antihistamine medication like levocetrizine twice daily for seven to ten days.
3. Other treatment options are oral steroids like prednisone or betamethasone taken only after consulting a dermatologist

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
 Dr. Harshit Bhachech
