OB & GYN Specialist 's  Response
Hello,

Thanks for writing to us.

According to your information, painful intercourse and numbness may be due to following reasons like:

1) Endometriosis, 2) Pelvic Inflammatory Disease, 3) Dryness of vagina 4) blunt trauma or rough sex, 5) Vulvodynia etc.

You need to undergo proper clinical or pelvic examination and necessary investigation after consultation with your gynecologist. It helps to confirm the diagnosis.

Initial investigations include pelvic ultrasound scan, urine routine & culture test, vaginal swab test, hormone profile etc.

TREATMENT: Proper treatment can be started following diagnosis of the case. In the mean time, I suggest to take NSAIDs or painkiller if pain is quite non-tolerable.

Maintain genital hygiene properly, avoid mental stress as much as possible by regular meditation, do unprotected sex with proper lubrication (use K-Y jelly), avoid chemical bath products, wear clean & cotton underwear, drink plenty of water to flush out body toxin.

Hope, it helps for your information. Good luck.
