For over a year now I have had numbness in my left hand and left pinky, also loss of muscle tone in the whole hand. As if my hand is shrnking. I have seen a family physician and a nerve specialist. Nothing has been determined and now I am having some pain in the hand and fore arm.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,
Loss if muscle tone in hand and numbness is mainly caused by Cervical compression due to cervical spondylosis.
Take diclofenac with chloroxazone tablet twice a day after food for 5 days. Get an X-ray of cervical spine AP and Lateral view. Kindly visit Orthopedician for proper advise. Physiotherapy exercises should reduce your symptoms and restrain the muscle tone.
Wish you good health.
