i had a major surgery in 2001... the surgeons broke both my femur bones in my left and right thigh and hold the bones together with steel rods. Now that I m older I m getting a lot of numbness in my legs when i sit for less than 5 minutes, what causes that?
Physical Therapist or Physiotherapist, Ayman Darrag's Response
I don't think this tingling is relevant to the surgeries. It can be as simple as pressure on your arteries and nerves when you sit and it could be related to your back (sciatic or piriformis syndrome).
Start with piriformis stretch and cat position stretch. If you feel better then keep it on. If nothing changed then it could be a disc problem in the back.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
