What Causes Nosebleeds?

My mom has had profuse faucet force nosebleeds for over a year . Often 2-3 times a day often losing 3 cups of blood each bleed. She had a defective hip replaced a few months after the bleeding began because of cobalt and metal found in her blood. She has seen 5 ENTs, had her nose cortorized numerous time with no resolve, a month later she had an inpatient test where they placed a tube in her groin to look for open vessels. They closed up something in her nose that looked odd but her bleeds came back a week later, full force. She had surgery a week and a half ago again(a week early to avoid a blood transfusion) and this time they opened her nose, closed arteries and vessels inside and behind the eye. She is bleeding again. I m not a doctor but don t feel it s nose related. Doctors cannot seem to remedy this and we are seeking some help or a reference. Her blood is good, no high blood pressure, no clotting issues or thinning issues, no tumors etc. she is 64 and otherwise healthy but clearly frustrated and scared that no one can find a cure. Her bleeding is so profuse that she fills a sandwich size ziplock bag within a half hour and ends up choking up blood. Please help, any suggestions or recommended specialist would be much appreciated.

ENT Specialist 's  Response
Thanks for your query .....since you have seen 5 ent doctors so i expect they might have ruled out the major possibilities of nasal bleeding....also nasal endoscopy also must also ahve been done in the past.......if their is no established cause .....i personally think she can go in for sphenopalatine artery ligation of the side that bleeds the most.....although not before ruling out other causes.... i could have suggested a docotr , had i known your location.....
