What Causes Nose Bleeds With Bruising And Night Sweats?

My daughter has a D-Dimer abnormal result of .52H and further blood testing at a hospital (an aggregation, I think it was called) was done today. Ordered by her hematologist, she s has nose bleeds several times a day at least 3x a week. Was seen by an ENT specialist to cauterize her nose prior to seeing hematologist and she s still having nose bleeds. 3 years ago she bad bruising, night sweats and her coagulation numbers were elevated but not enough to warrant further testing then. All her other blood testing numbers are normal now except the Dimer. She had an abortion 1 1/2 years ago, can this have anything to do with it.

I do not suspect that the prior abortion would have anything to do with her current D-Dimer level. This usually means that there is some kind of clotting going on which might be due to the recurrent nose bleeds. I agree with continuing to follow with her hematologist to ensure there aren't any blood clotting disorders leading to her nose bleeds.
