What Causes Nose Bleeding?

My mom s nose is bleeding since yesterday, we took her to emergency in hospital. They packed her nose after which bleeding start coming from mouth. Doctors said that it is a posterior bleeding and is due to high blood pressure. Now they are saying us that they will do the angiography to check the blockage of heart as well. I just want to know that the things are going into right direction or not? And what extra we can ask doctors to do on this issue ? Thanks in Advance..

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

I read carefully your query and understand your concern.

Heart conditions like hypertension (high blood pressure) can also cause nosebleeds, as can hypertensive crisis.
It is important to take treatment to lower the blood pressure.
So ,I suggest to consult a cardiologist for a specific treatment.
Meanwhile,I suggest to avoid salt in the diet.

Hope my answer was helpful.

If you have further queries feel free to contact me again.

Kind regards!
