Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
My daughter has had a very bad nose bleed for the last 3 days and it seems to be getting worse not better. Her nose is constantly bleeding and the blood is very fresh and very red. should i take her to the emergency room ? She is 17 years old and has a history of nosebleed, but never this bad and this continuous.
The most common causes of nosebleeds are drying of the nasal membranes and nose picking. Most cases are minor and can be managed from home. You can use saline nasal sprays to prevent the bleeding.
If the bleeding continue you can go to the emergency room for further evaluation and treatment.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Dorina Gurabardhi, General & Family Physician
